2 weeks old, 2 weeks til due date....home time?

Yesterday, all of Conner's nurses (including the charge nurse) firmly believed that Conner is ready to come home. Today. They just have to convince the doctor of that during rounds this morning. Yesterday morning, the doctor figured he wanted to monitor Conner for one more day, just to make sure the meds were out of his system completely and that his blood sugars are remaining stable.

Conner is now cordless!! He's not hooked up to any monitors, and he is drinking an average of 90-100cc's every feeding. YAY. The night nurse said it feels like they are just babysitting him because he's doing so well. (SEND HIM HOME!)

So now I sit and wait. I was told last night that the nurse would call me this morning as soon as rounds were done and let me know if we can come pick up our little peanut. It's only 8:23. Rounds start at 9, and Conner is bed 6....so if they start on time....whatever. I'm calling at 10 if I don't hear anything before then.
