Should've named him "Sugar Baby"

So it looks like Conner will either come home tomorrow....or Friday.

I'm trying to be patient.

I called his nurse this morning, and she said that he is doing very well. They have now discontinued his medication completely. The last time they checked his sugar was at 4 AM and it was 4.1 - which is really good for him. The nurse said she would check it again at his next feeding. They are only checking his sugar level every 12 hours now, unless he starts to show signs of having low blood sugar.

We are praying HARD that his levels continue to be stable, and that we can go home tomorrow. The nurse warned me that they might want to monitor him for one more day (AHHHH!!!!), just because it might take a little while for the medication to be fully out of his system.

I hope they don't want to. Get him out of there. Seriously. This is all we are waiting for. Once those sugars are stable, we get to leave. He also downed 100cc's of formula during his last feeding, so he's a pro!!

Please please please pray that his blood sugar levels will remain stable. I want my baby home. Tomorrow he will be 2 weeks old. My heart is aching!
