Life At Home

I haven't updated my blog in quite a while.

Today marks one week since we took Conner home from the hospital. A week already! Kind of doesn't feel like it...although I'm sure the bags under my eyes speak otherwise. ;-)

Conner is overall a pretty good baby. He eats, he sleeps, he pees, and he poops. Pretty standard for a newborn. Today has been a bit of a rough day. He's decided to cluster feed all day, isn't sleeping well (because he isn't eating much at a time) and he has a stuffy nose. I'm very very tired. Thankfully, Rob is not working tomorrow and he can help out with night feeds.

Isaiah is still not totally sure about his little brother. He's been out of sorts since we brought him home. Very moody and VERY testy! He's testing his boundaries. It will take some getting used to for him - he's never had to share me before, and now he does. The other day when Rob put Isaiah to bed, I was still feeding Conner. Isaiah proceeded to yell at me, "MOM!! Do you always have to feed the baby!?"

Overall, we are very glad to be home as a family of 4. FOUR! Wow.

Conner is 3 weeks old - as of yesterday. And my due date? Yeah. That's tomorrow. :)

Thanks for praying for our miracle. Love you all.

xoxo

Oh Kara. I'm so happy for you even that you're tired and exhausted. Isaiah will figure out soon that no matter what he does Conner isn't going anywhere and 'then he'll move on and be an amazing big brother. I love that he asked if you were always feeding the baby - I'm sure it feels like that even to you especially on days like today. make bottle, feed, burp, rinse bottle and repeat. Happy Due date tomorrow so glad Conner is at home with you!!
