Ha. Hobby.
For those of you that know me, I go through weird hobby phases.
First was cross-stitching. I bought some Anne Cloth to make an afghan for Isaiah - before he was even born. Needless to say, I started...and never finished. So it's still sitting somewhere in my craft drawer, all wrinkled and unfinished. I still plan to do it....honest.
When Isaiah was about 6 months old, I took up painting. I bought supplies - paints, canvas, etc., everything I would need. Took me a whole year after that before I actually painted something. I wasn't thrilled with the results, and I haven't painted since.
So, what now?
Why not try scrapbooking! (Oh brother - the most expensive hobby ever). I bought a book, some extra page protectors, a gigantic pad of paper, and some vellum. It's starting to collect dust!! But seriously, I might actually do it yet. My goal is to do a wedding scrapbook. Since my photographer was horrible and the pictures didn't turn out well (yes, still bitter) I am going to only be scrapbooking a few pictures...but will be doing ALL of my cards - which for some reason or other, I still have. I even have some shower cards. Yikes! Some of them have really great messages in them - people put their thoughts onto paper for me! I don't want to throw them away. I've never ever kept cards of any sort before, but I figured these would make a nice memory. It will be nice, one day, to sit down with my daughter (if I ever have one) and go through my Wedding Scrapbook.
So that's my newest hobby. Let's all hope and pray that I finish something.
