Struggles on the journey

Summer. It doesn't like me. I have probably the lowest heat-tolerance of anyone, and it's very frustrating. Heat causes me to get completely and utterly exhausted. I know what you're thinking: yeah, I get exhausted when I'm outside all day too. Well, it's entirely different with MS. I get so tired, that in the evening when I'm checking my e-mail, I find myself falling asleep, literally, right at the computer. I vacuum one room of the house, and I collapse from exhaustion when I'm done.
Plus - my migraines have skyrocketed yet again, which is also common for me in the summertime. It's so hard to deal with when I have a 1 year old son (whom I LOVE) to run after all day long.

I made an appointment with my doctor because enough is enough. I am hoping to get some more treatment, and that means taking the wonderful side effects as they come and go with a grain of salt. The first time I had a 5-day treatment, I felt really good after it was over - for a good while!

Please pray that I will have the right words to say to my doctor on Friday, and that we will be able to come up with something that will help my extreme fatigue and migraines.

One thing I'm thankful for today: Free Health Care!!!

One song that is making me feel good today:

Hi Kara, I don't think you know me, but I know who you are. :) I know Nadine well and also used to work with Bob. I have stumbled across your blog quite accidentally!

I just wanted to comment that one of my dear friends has a sister in law who has been diagnosed with MS in the last 2 years. In the last 6 months to 1 year she has adopted a Gluten-Free diet and is doing so much better! I just thought I'd share that. You may know/have tried it, but just thought I'd pass it on. :) Take care.

Aw, you're sweet! Thanks! No, I don't think I do know you at all. Ha ha.
Thanks for the comment, it's nice to know that even people I DON'T know care. :)
