Teaching Moments

We've been having some 'fun' moments with Isaiah these days. He's 3 and a half years old - so he's in this stage where he really tries to push his limits. Yesterday he was yelling and stomping around because I said no to something, so I decided to try a different tactic. Instead of punishing him right away, I took him and pulled him onto my lap. I proceeded to tell Isaiah that Jesus doesn't like it when he doesn't listen, because he's supposed to obey his mommy and daddy. "We need to obey Jesus, because we love Him, and he loves us." Isaiah throws his arms around me, and almost bursting into tears, says, "But mommy!! I don't love Jesus because I love my mommy and daddy!!" It was cute, but we definitely need to work on this. Haha.
