Best Birthday EVER.

This year I celebrated my "magic" birthday, turning 24 on June 24th. It was the best ever!!

On Wednesday my best friend Trace and her little family spontaneously showed up at my house with a surprise present! A big bookshelf!! She knew that I wanted one, and she got her husband to make one for me for my birthday - so awesome!! Now it doesn't look so cluttered in our back room - all of our movies and all of Isaiah's books fit into there perfectly. Thanks guys!

On Thursday (my actual birthday) Rob took me out to buy shoes. Isn't he every wife's DREAM?! I ended up buying 2 pairs of flats and spent less than $40. Score!

On Friday we went out with some good friends of ours - the husband was also celebrating HIS magic birthday this weekend, so we figured we better do something to celebrate. We went to Red Lobster (my favorite) for supper - of course, I had popcorn shrimp. If you know me at all, you know that I never order anything but popcorn shrimp at that restaurant. Whatever, it's safe! I know it will always taste fabulous. After Red Lobster, we went to Ruckers!! Hahaha it was SO awesome. It was basically empty when we got there, so we had the whole arcade to ourselves. Nothing beats acting like a kid and winning the lamest prizes on the planet. We had so much fun - too bad I forgot to take pictures.

Saturday was a day off from birthday celebrations - Rob and I went to his 10 year high school reunion. Doesn't that make Rob sound old? ;)
It was really fun for Rob to reconnect with some of the people that he graduated with. There were I think 16 people out of the 28 that he graduated with, so I think that's a pretty good turnout.

Sunday - back to birthday celebrations!! We went to Southland for church with my parents in the morning. I decided I would try dropping Isaiah off in the nursery, as I don't have that luxury with our church at home. I dropped him off and he lasted all of 15 minutes...he screamed the whole time. Guess I'll have to have more play dates with moms around here so that he gets used to being around other children.
Anyway...
We went back to my mom and dad's for lunch and dad and had steak on the bbq. SO yummy. After lunch we opened presents. My parents had individually wrapped 24 different presents (to symbolize that I turned 24 on the 24th....). It was fun! Ha ha I love presents. I got a bunch of random stuff like nailpolish, body butter, crossword puzzle book (WOOT), flip flops...it was great.
I also got to see my brother this weekend, so that was great too. I hardly ever get to see him...and he only lives in Winnipeg. Sad isn't it?

That concludes my birthday week/weekend. Yesterday I started coming down with a wicked cold and feel pretty lousy today, so it's movie/pajama day in my house.
