Wow, it's been a while since I've posted....lots has changed.
For those of you that don't already know, I have been in the middle of a health "battle" for the past few weeks.
After a trip to the walk in and a couple of trips to both Steinbach and St. Boniface hospitals, I have been diagnosed with what the neurologist is quite certain to be Multiple Sclerosis (MS). I had an emergency MRI, where they found two spots, or lesions, one in my spinal cord and one in my brain. The doctor explained that MS is like a rash on your nervous system, and those spots are the scars that it leaves behind.
The diagnosis is still only "probable" because this is the type of disease that can really only be diagnosed over a period of time, however, he seemed quite sure that this is what I have. That's the part that sucks the most for me - I am still in a state of denial, because what if all of a sudden I DON'T have it? Why would I gear myself up for it? At the same time, why wouldn't I. I am trying to stay positive and just tell myself that yes, this is what I have, so that I can deal with it and start moving on.
I underwent steroid treatment to help with the discomfort and have been feeling fairly well, with the occasional flare-up where my leg will go numb - not your average "falling asleep" - and I can't walk properly.
I am still waiting on blood test results that were done a couple of weeks ago, just to confirm a few things I guess.
I know lots of you have been praying for me - through my facebook statuses - I figured I would give you a better update now. So thanks for all the prayers - I definitely have been feeling them.
On another "new season" note...here I am in full "housewife" garb. Apron, pigtails, and (you can't see it) a bandanna.

I think you are the hottest housewife ever! I think we have matching aprons (from Grandma W?)
We'll keep praying for you!
HA! Thanks Juan. Juan - I like it. I'm so calling you Juan from now on. Or Nita. But that sounds very mennonite. Hahahaa.

I can see why Rob keeps wanting to come home to you :)!!!
Still praying...
I'm praying for you as well. I have another friend who was just recently diagnosed with MS as well. You are in my prayers.
